dead simple

It is simple, all you need is a 5 gallon bucket a bag of bird seed and a 4 ft long 2x4. These are the goods need to create the worlds most effective rodent killer. Add two gallons of water to the bucket, pour seed in water, it will float. Then give the flee bags a ramp tp walk to the top of the bucket. They will jump right in a buck of seed, ooops it is more water than seed. That is right in two days I have bagged 15 chipmunk aka banded gophers 4 mice and a mole. I just reloaded, so I will update on the hunt. That is just from the dirty buggers under my patio.

4.25 race seasons = 8 frames

Ok here it is the trek product time line - 2002 paid down some payola for a new Sugar 1 , two replacements on that frame they both busted below the seat tube linkage. Next year 2003 payola for a new Fisher Sugar team issue. First ride out the frame busted at the top tube and seat tube, bad weld. The next frame lasted about two month before the rear triangle broke and twisted the frame that was frame number two for that year. It happened at the last race of the year no biggy. Now 2004 started the year with the replacement frame from 2003. That lasted almost the whole season until the top tube started to crush in on itself. That time I had a heart to heart with the rep and got a upgrade to the carbon fuel right before the fat tire. 2005 Still the same fuel frame until June when the BB lug came unglued from the bottom tube. So new frame again, getting better only one this year. Now 2006, payola for a brand spankin new red top fuel, race four and the lug at the BB breaks. So now trek will send me another frameset. When will it end, maybe when I buy something else.

All the wheels are down and out

Well the bike breaks down and we returned that to the shop wednesday and saturday night a wonderful deer made the truck take a ride to the body shop.

If I offended anyone with the picture to damn bad, trucks get busted up sometimes. I also kicker her in the head to make sure she was dead and not suffering like I wished upon her after I looked at the truck.

I have been slacking and racing

Man it has been a while since posting last. Well we had a so so 12 hour race turn out. Never helps when 1/2 the state gets rain all night long to chase others riders. We ending up with a 117 riders enjoying a well layed out course, so I was told. So another year is over and planning for next year has already started. This stuff never ends, I can't imagine what kind of time it must take to put a wors event together. Speaking of wors I have had a couple pretty good race in Wausau and Kewaunee. Wausau I ended up in the top 15, I took a good digger over the bars on the last lap and had to use up all my matches just to get back up front pack. Good fast race to burn the lungs.

Two weeks later and Kewaunee was the next disaster. We pre rode Saturday and shelly knew racing on Sunday was out for her. I, of course paid on Saturday so when it rains for two hours before the race I was already in and paid. So waiting on the start line we seen the other racers
coming in covered with mud. Oh great, Don counted down to go and I was off. I had a couple bike length lead into the first corner and decided to sit up and take second and let the other guy fight the wind up the atv trail. That plan worked great until he crashed right in front of me. I tried to bunny hop his bike but ended up riding over it. I must have had the right tires and tire pressure, I was passing riders left and right all from the group that went out 2 minutes in front of us. Then we made the last turn into the road and I ended up sliding out and going over the bars, hard. That was the first of many crashes that day. Now to the last lap, some riders watching told me I was leading my age group by a couple of minutes. Great I thought this will be a nice age group win, wrong a short while later I shifted to the big ring and sheered the rear derailure right off. Damn this race is over. Wrong the spectators cheered me on to run to the finish. They all said it was about a mile. Well I ran my fat ass off for the mile and ended up taking second. Thanks to all who cheered me along my run to the finish. It seemed like a good thing to do at the time, Not so good today, running in bike shoes in the mud trashed my knees. So it is motrin every 4 hours today.

What else is going on besides work. Well Shelly has taken a new job as a head hunter and mine is still the same with the same horrible drive everyday. We have T ball twice a week and just the normal yard work. That is it we already running on borrowed time. Oh ya we are Aunt and Uncles and the kids have a new cousin. Chris and Marci brought the world baby Tyler on May 17th.
