Well the frame has been sent back for the fancy paint. I just need to make a note that after 8 races the rear linage was cracked. So i guess I am 6 for 8 on broken trek products. I hope they repaint project 1 stuff for cheap when it breaks.

All these troubles and you keep going back...... What a pain ! Buy a bike that doesn't continually fail.
Hey when the trek breaks I get a new frame in 5 days. I had a crackenfail break and I waited 2 months. Back in the day I had a GT zaskar with a bad head tube and waited more than a month. Trek has it all worked out.
Still a pain , striping the frame and rebuilding it year after year.
They have it worked out because they have to. The warranty room is huge , unpainted frames ready to replace failures.
Maybe they should sell a frame that lasts and stop giving frames away.
I broke a few frames myself this year and always have an emergency back-up bike so that I'm never without a ride. Every replacement is like buying a completely brand new bike and it's just as exciting. I can't wait for the one I have out now to come back. When it's back, I send out the next one...alwys a brand new bike coming...it is truly awesome!
