Well I almost crashed because I was laughing so hard when I seen a neighbor in trouble today. For anyone who has driven past the fox river on national ave in mukwonago this may seem all that better. OK so here it the short of it, on the southwest side of the river there is a half assed boat launch that you can drive down to down the embankment. There is no drive of any kind just dirt and a small slab for the launch. So today the neighbor decided to launch his small row boat on the river. In July that may not have been a problem. However days ago this area was under water. So when I seen the trailer was sunk to the boat and the truck to the frame, I had to stop and ask how was the fishing. He was past the point of crying and started to laugh. Many hours later two tow trucks helped him the truck and the boat out.
dam damn
Well mom is still in Florida and I have missed 2 great days of really hard riding. I pulled Cole yesterday for 1 hour will josh played down the street. Then we took josh on another long ride 8 miles. He has the whole shift down pretty well. Another party today, hopefully all things go well until Tuesday when mom returns.

like starting over
So after not riding since monday I came home and pulled cole around for 2.5 hour or so. Dammit it feels just like the first ride of the year. Man you real lose fitness fast this time of year. Well it is day three that mom has been laying on the beach and visiting busch gardern and other places with her family down there. I was pretty stoked after school today when we went for a ride with josh. We went down the power lines for a long way. We stopped when cole had to water a tree and we headed back. It was 9 miles in all for josh first ride on his MTB bike. Going to take the brats to whitnall to watch the races.

Not for me, for Josh. Picked him up a 24" Specialized hotrock, black and red. Has 24 speed twisties and a rst fork. It comes with some really lame really really heavy wheelset. So I will have to talk to the sun guys about a upgrade this summer. He is so stoked he is riding it in the rain right now.

catch up
We lets back up a little, last thursday, friday, saturday and sunday I rode my bike on the road and in the woods with some local riders. Monday headed to the DNR hearing about raising trail fees and made the request on record that all user in a fee area pay for a trail pass. they seemed pretty open about it and explained the new account that was created for trail pass money that goes directly back into trail care and development. Now my is in Florida so it just me and the boy for the next couple of days. I will be ok I think.

Well I just rode in the drizzle for 1 1/2 hours. I had half a day off and I was riding no matter what. So I just showered and still have a chill, Probley not the best idea still fighting this cold. Also found out today I have to go to Salt Lake for 2 weeks in June. O joy, time to box the bike up again. Hopefully they ok a flight home on the weekend, ya right. Ride this saturday morning at Muir at 8 am. I had enough of the road this spring already.

first one
Well I hit my first saturday morning ride out of wheel. It is a nice change being forced to keep the tempo up. Felt great during the ride with the cold and cough, not so great now. My knee and chest hurt now. Better hit it just as hard tomorrow
After Sea Otter
Well after looking at all the pics from sea otter I think I may jump on the 29er bang wagon. I do kinda like the way they ride with big tires, just never cared for the heavy so so forks and rims/tires. Well after seeing the new fox and manitou 29 forks and sweet crossmax29's I just may think about a nice steel 29er next year. MAYBE , that is a big maybe.

long overdue
So I hit emma and the connector Sunday and Monday for some good miles. I will say after riding bmx all winter snappin up short climbs is easier. Now the snow is coming tonight and should close them up again.
Saturday we hit Sams club and spent like 300 bucks so we now have a bunch of stuff like this,
124 corn dogs
128 pudding cup
5 pounds of tater tots
48 king size Snicker ( will keep me in Comp Clyde)
cans and cans of veggies
bags and bags of chips ( already out of the house)
40 chickens of breast
6 pounds of Shrimp
A gallon of Strawberries
A years worth of bacon
A gallon of Sour Cream
The biggest bottle of Ketchup ever
The Biggest bottle of Ranch Dressing ever
A gross of garbage bags
I did get 2 pounds of good coffee.
Couple bottles of wine
Who really needs all this shit,. The bottles don't fit in the fridge and my kids will hate corn dogs and chicken in two months.

Sunday, Palm Sunday
Cole said I should post he loves Spongebob CandyLand.
So I wake up early and I see that the big ol Religion / politics argument are still going after a full weekon a couple blogs. Come on guy this argument is what has been getting people killed for 6000 years in the middle east. I hope you guys are close now to closing the debate.
Well I have rode 4 days in a row now and hopefully today will make 5. I have a new 25 mile route that is all hills for the first 11 miles. Brad and Leif came out yesterday for ride on the new route and they agree it all hills and a good ride. Half way throught the ride we almost got taken out by a herd of deer crossing center drive.
So 130 in 4 days, that is almost summer miles in march. I am feeling good now.
